Malcolm Duane Bullock became an angel on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 86. Malcolm was born September 7, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Trudie Mary and Malcolm M. Bullock. He grew up in the North Texas area living mostly in Dallas, but also briefly on a ranch near Ennis, Texas. He attended Mount Auburn Elementary, and Ennis and Woodrow Wilson High Schools before joining the ROTC program at Arlington State College (now UT-Arlington). He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he met the love of his life, the former Sharon Swales, who survives him. Together they had 63 years of adventures, living in Dallas, Cypress and Odessa, Texas; Derby, Kansas; Fargo, North Dakota; and Charlotte, North Carolina before finally achieving their mutual dream of retirement in Buena Vista, Colorado. Malcolm served his country as an MP in the Korean War then began a career that spanned 35 years with General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Throughout life’s journey, Malcolm and Sharon were blessed with three daughters, D’Ann Kearby, Dallas, Texas; Shawn Wright, Mesquite, TX; and M’Liss Koopman, Raleigh, North Carolina. Malcolm also enjoyed spending time with his three sons-in-law, six grandchildren and recently, his first great-grandson. Malcolm was devoted to his family and church throughout his life, always placing them first, but he also loved the mountains, football (Go Longhorns!), golf and fishing. Services will be held on Friday, March 24 with internment at DFW National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m. followed by a memorial service at noon in the chapel at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
