Lucille Jones Duvall Paullus was born in 1922 in Dublin, Texas to Mason Franklin Jones and Ruth Nesom. The family later moved to Mart, Texas where Lucille attended school.
Lucille married Duan Denver Duvall in 1946 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death. In 1956 she married James Eugene Paullus, Sr. who also preceded her.
During WWII Lucille was a “Rosie the Riveter” in Houston and later in Galveston.
After years of taking care of her family she volunteered at Methodist Central Hospital. She was offered a full time job at the hospital and retired from there.
She is survived by daughters Carol Ann Paullus Cohen, Phyllis (Bunny) Duvall Gammon (Fred), Duana Duvall Smith (Mark), Denise Duvall Janes and sons James Paullus (Iris) and Frank Paullus. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Encompass Health (hospice).
