Lawrence Edward Davis was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He left this world suddenly and unexpectedly on April 27, 2021 at the age of 57. Lawrence was born to Edna Mason on October 4, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. He was later adopted in love by Don Lee Mason as his father and role model. Lawrence’s zest for life was always found in his love for family and his incredible work ethic. After graduating from Job Corp, Lawrence continued his career with the City of Dallas as a streets operator and manager and retired with the City Of Dallas in 2018. He worked to provide a life for his children and family.
Lawrence professed his love for God later in life. He knew who God was and he understood God’s power and saving grace. Lawrence loved life and enjoyed being with his family and friends. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was infectious. Lawrence’s presence will surely be missed by all who love him.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Sashay Davis and Shuntay Davis, one son, Lawrence Davis Jr, and two other children close to his heart, Javon (Florence) Jackson and Tamika Jackson. Lawrence has 8 grandchildren: Semaj, Darnell, Isaiah, Eyiona, Eric Jr., Eriana, Evonne, and Nydia. He also leaves behind four sisters, Cynthia (Talbert) Swan, Patricia Mason, LaVonda (Brandon) Vestal, and TeQuila (LJ) Jackson-Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lawrence will be reunited with his mother, Edna Mason who went to be the Lord just five months prior to his own death.
Although death has separated us for now, we will continue to honor and cherish his memory for years to come.
