Lamesia Mims-Roberts

LaMesia attended grade school in Abilene, Texas and after moving to Dallas, Texas, she attended D.A. Hulcy Middle School and David W. Carter High School, graduating class of 1979.

Throughout the years LaMesia's contagious smile and jovial personality captured the hearts of many, turning strangers into friends. Her exceptional twinkle and knack for customer service allowed her to thrive in roles from-fashion retail to financial institution. Her personality eventually captured the heart of Rodney Roberts and they were married July 2, 2011.

LaMesia was preceded in death by both her mother and father, three brother: Karia AdamsJr., Maurice Mims Jr., and Larry Mims. She is survived by her husband, stepson Brandon, two sisters-in-law: Claire Bostick and Deborah Roberts, three sisters: Nola Mae Adams Swann, Shirley Adams Taylor and Susan Mims-Davis, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family: Willie Wright, Jessie Mendez, Crystal and Maci Hall, Lisa Cooper & many close friends. She will be sorely missed.

A visitation service for Lamesia will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 S R L Thornton Frwy, Dallas, TX 75232.

A funeral service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232.

A committal service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232.
