Kevin Marshall Craig

Kevin was born on December 18, 1953 in Magnolia, AR to Jesse and Estelle (Reid) Craig. He

received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma in 1976 where

he also was a Letterman and played in several winning seasons of college football as a center

under Coach Barry Switzer; gaining fame after his final high snap of the 1976 OU-TX game

resulting in a final score of 6-6. He later received a letter from President Gerald Ford, who was

attending the game and was a former center himself, empathizing with and lamenting the high

snap. After graduating, he remained in Oklahoma City and began his career in architecture,

eventually starting his own firm. Throughout his career he worked on many large commercial

projects with his most notable work in architecture being the futuristic NASA Space Camp in

Huntsville AL. On March 17, 1990 he married Sherry Koons. They raised four sons, Brandon,

Benjamin, Nathanael, and Gabriel, and two daughters, Katherine and Faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse, and his mother, Estelle. He is survived by his former wife Sherry, his six children, Brandon, Benjamin, Katherine, Nathaneal, Gabriel, and Faith, his brothers Gary,

Randy, and Martin, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27th, 2021 at the Laurel Land Funeral Home on 6300 S.R.L. Thornton Freeway at 2 o’clock p.m.
