It is with great sadness that the family of Karen N. Tomlinson announces her passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the age of 72 years. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years, Allan J. Tomlinson, her children, Ashleigh Pike (Crawford) and Grant Cornett (Janine), her step-children, John Tomlinson (Sally), Laura Barton (Richard), and Will Tomlinson (Charlotte) along with her twelve grandchildren and her two brothers, Timothy Neese (Jackie) and Michael Neese (Lisa).
Those who knew and loved Karen will forever remember her infectious smile, wit, and graciousness. She lived life to the fullest. She and her husband traveled the world and were always up for new adventures. Karen adored her children and grandchildren and regularly traveled to see them. She was a creative spirit whose bright light shone most with her gardens that she meticulously kept. This year Karen proudly completed her Master Gardener certification. She was a friend to all and loved by many.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Michael and All Angels Chapel in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make memorial donations (checks made out to: Dallas County Master Gardener Association) in memory of Karen may send them to: Master Gardener Program, attn: John Ellis, 10056 Marsh Lane Suite B-101, Dallas, TX, 75229.
