Julie Anne (Hopkins) Acoveno, aged 81, died peacefully on April 18, 2018, at her home in Dallas, surrounded by her loving family. Julie was born July 7, 1936, in Schenectady, New York, the daughter of Walter and Annabelle Hopkins.
Julie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-nine years, Floyd, and their five children, Joe, Mary Lou, Jane, Theresa, and Lisa. Julie will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Dusty, Maddie, Aaron, Austin, Alex and Harison, and great-grand child, Witten.
After moving from New York to Dallas in 1969, they raised five beautiful children, each of whom loved her dearly. Julie was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, where she will be fondly remembered by her friends ,not only for her contribution to singing in the Notes of Joy, but for her caring nature, creative writing and storytelling.
Recently spending a glorious Easter weekend with her family, Julie will now take her rightful place in heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the Alzheimer's charity at www.alzinfo.org. A memorial mass will be held at St. Rita Church, 12521 Inwood Rd., Dallas, TX, 75244, on Friday, April 27th, at 12pm, with a reception to follow.
