She was married to Eligio M. Diaz for over 30 years. They were married on October 3, 1988. She attended Eastfield College where she studied and received her associates degree in child development and later became a lead teacher at Marillac Social Center for over 35 years and then went on to work at Genesis Women's Shelter where she was loved by many.
Julie was known for always being there in the time of need and making sure no one went without.
She had a heart of gold and her door was always open. She had the best party's money could buy and everyone knew her favorite color was purple. She will be forever missed but leaves us with so many great memories that we will never forget.
Julie is survived by her husband Eligio M. Diaz, her only son Tomas Sosa Jr. and wife Stephanie Sosa, her parents Eloy and Leonila Cervantes, one Brother Mario Cervantes and wife Connie Cervantes, one sister Eloisa Cervantes. Grandchildren: (T.J) Tomas Sosa III, Valarie Sosa, Naomi Ayala, Jocelyn Tovar, Christopher Sanchez, Josiah Ray Sosa, and Great Grandchildren: Robert Jordan Escobar, Julian Escobar, Haven Ayala, and Eila Ayala. Many nieces and nephews, and a host of loved relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Tomas Sosa III., Josiah Ray Sosa, Christopher Sanchez, Abraham Balderas, Lorenzo Nevarez, Mario Nevarez Jr., Juan Bravo and Mario Cervantes Jr.
