“Nita” as she was commonly known, graduated high school in Coleman, then attended North Texas State University.
Nita married Robert “Bob” Driskill and moved to Lubbock.Eventually, they settled in Dallas, where they raised their three children.
Nita was very active in her church ministries, working with and providing food for the White Rock Center of Hope and always giving of herself to her family, neighbors and friends. She enjoyed gardening and spent many years camping the Texas lakes with her family, as well as RV-ing with her husband after retirement.
Nita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and she will be missed tremendously.
On Sunday, February 7, 2016 Juanita F. Driskill passed away. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband of 64 years, Robert Driskill; son, Steve; and her parents Harmon & Cynthia Blanton.
Her life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by her children, Marsha and husband Nick; Karen and husband Gary; daughter-in-law Marie; sister, Willene; sister-in-law, Lou; grandchildren: Matt, Adam, Dean and his wife ChrisAnn, Kris and her husband Clay, and Wade; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Emily & Reuben; and many more relatives and close friends.
