Josephine “Jo” McFarland, age 75, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on July 4, 2013. Born March 30, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a long time Dallas bartender and “Social Butterfly” and was loved by many. She enjoyed cooking, watching old movies, and spending time with friends and family. Preceded in death by her parents Henry Johnson and Helen Messina. Survived by her son Luke McFarland and his wife Stacy, sister Patty Rhoderick and her husband Michael, nieces Tammy McNatt, Meredith Sterk, Shannon Johnson, Heidi Hamlow and their respective families, nephew Aaron Rhoderick and his family, and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel with committal to immediately follow at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Lakeside Pavilion. A reception will follow the committal at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
