Jorge Luis Melendez, 81, was called home to be with the Lord on October 21st, 2018 at 6:36pm. His bride of 60 years was lovingly by his side until he passed peacefully in his home.
Born on July 26, 1937 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Angel Melendez and Elena Rodriguez. Hardworking his whole life, he proudly worked for the Parks and Recreation Department of Farmers Branch for 15 years. He will be remembered most for the lovehe gave, and for the dedication to his family and friends. Jorge devoted his life to those he loved, and he will continue to influence our lives well after his departure.
He is survived by his wife Elfega Melendez, brother Angel Francisco Melendez, his children, Maria Melendez, Alma Melendez, Jorge Melendez, Jr., as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Camille Terry (Vivian & LilyJay), Servan Diaz, Cynthia Laskiewicz (Brock & Blake), MariaLisa Cruz(Tatiiana), Natalie Guerrero and Alejandro Melendez.
