Jon Allan Vinson, was born March 14, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Horace and Irene Vinson and passed away March 23, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy. Retired in 1985 from Control Data where he was the Director of Technical Resources for International Operations. After retiring, he worked as a computer consultant for Hughes & Luce for 8 years. Preceded in death by his two sisters, Martha Wilson and Carol Vinson. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores Vinson; son, Jonathan Vinson and wife Patti; two grandchildren, Claire Vinson and Will Vinson; brother, Terence Vinson and wife Judy; nephews, Steven Vinson, Jon David Vinson and Allen Rodriguez; niece, Lucy Huckaba; and cousin, Nancy Schmidt. Graveside service 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Rev. Bill Smith, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
