John Dee Weatherly Jr.

JD Weatherly passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 3, 2022. He was born December 26, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to John Dee Weatherly Sr. and Emma Faye Weatherly. JD was preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Brittie Anne Callaham. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lois Weatherly, two children, Spencer Weatherly and Nancy Worrell, and three step children Mark Wodek (Jacki), Sharon Ruestmann (Jim), and Susan Caterisano (Don), who blessed him with six grandchildren, Jordon, Kristy, Alex, Jake, Sydney, and Sophie, and three great grandchildren, Riley, Mason, and Anabelle. He also leaves behind his niece, Deborah Fernandez and many friends.

JD was proud of being a dallas native and graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Southern Methodist University. After serving in the Air Force he spent his entire working career as Vice President and Investment Officer at Dallas Federal Savings. Nearing retirement JD and his late wife, Betty, took up square dancing and traveling. It was at a square dance he met his wife, Lois, and together they continued to enjoy dancing for many years. JD was an excellent golfer and loved working in his yard. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial donations may be made to Happy Hill Farm in Granbury, TX.
