John Knox Jackson Jr. was born on February 15, 1925 and passed away on June 2, 2014 at the age of 89. John K. was a wonderful husband and loving father. Following his Army service during World War II, he worked as an accountant and retired after 40 years with Sun Oil Company. John K. was an avid golfer, bowler, and baseball enthusiast. He was preceded in death by Madolyne Seale Jackson, his devoted wife of 59 years, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his sister Carol Houston and her husband Lloyd; son John Knox Jackson, III and wife Judy; daughter Patricia Jackson Gaudreau and husband Philip; grandchildren: John K. Jackson IV, Jason Robert Jackson, Julie Thompson, Donald Gaudreau and Jeannine Gaudreau; great-grandchildren: Natalie, Jayme, Tristan, Zeke, Adam, Abi, Grace, and Julia; sister-in-law: Ruby Seale and numerous other family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
