Joel Stanley Wymer, former Salamanca, NY resident passed away in Dallas, Texas on 2/9/18 after a short illness. He was born on 9/30/68, the son of Jeannette M. and Jack D. Wymer of Little Valley/Tucson, AZ. Joel was predeceased by a Brother, Joseph Allen; Maternal Grandparents, Natalie & Stanley Zurat and Paternal Grandparents, Ardetia & Raymond Wymer.
He was a graduate of ArchBishop Walsh High School in Olean, NY, Class of 1987. Attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Employment included Southwest Airlines as a Reservations Trainer.
Besides his parents he is survived by his sisters, Jacqueline (Brian) Clapp of Tucson, Az. and Julie (Johnny) Wilson of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Beloved “Uncle Joby” to his nieces and nephews: Sydney and Dustin of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Ryan Clapp (Ciera) of Tucson; Ashley (Chris) Marchese of Phoenix and their children, Mackenzie and Jonathan; His Best Friend, Will Vrazel, His Uncle, Richard (Susan) Zurat, of Salamanca, His Aunts, Rita Wymer of Salamanca, Janice Chamberlain of Allegany and Marion Wymer of Big Run, Pa.
His favorite memories were of growing up in Salamanca with family activities with his cousins.
Joel will be remembered as a fun loving, caring individual. He was always worried about the well being of others over himself. He will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Salamanca, NY in June when all of his family and friends can attend.
