Texas. Jerry went home to be back with our parents on March 26, 2022 after a lengthy
illness. Jerry was born on December 17, 1964 to Charles and Annie Mae Thomas of
Slaton Texas. He was the youngest and actually smallest at birth of five children. He
grew up and graduated from Slaton High School where he received a full football
scholarship with New Mexico State University. He later left to play football and
graduated from Panhandle State University with a BS in Health and Physical Education
and a minor in Law Enforcement. He also attended TKI State, a professional truck
driving school.
Jerry has always worked hard, even as a child and made many friends throughout his
life, with that great big SMILE. Jerry worked as a health consultant with OSHA and
Trinity Industries both of Dallas, Texas. His greatest time was spent working as a
professional truck driver. He drove for DBA Coy Transportation Services of Amarillo
Texas, Charlotte Express INC of Center Lane M.I, Del Monte, and lastly PepsiCo, all of
Dallas, Texas
Jerry enjoyed spending peaceful evenings at home, working around his house
watching television especially football games and chatting with his friends and family.
He is survived by a brother, Charles Lee Thomas Jr. of Lubbock Texas, two sisters
Bonnie Mae Thomas of Lancaster and Wanda (Patrick) Asogwa of McAllen,Texas as
well as nieces and nephews, who have always greatly admired, loved and will miss their
favorite uncle, along with dear friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by oldest brother, Raymond Lee Thomas and parents
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Thomas Sr.
