Jerry was born April 29, 1935 in Jacksonville, FL to Artis and Norma Poole Morgan. He died September 19, 2014 in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon, daughter Sheri Morgan and husband Fred Levine, son Jon Morgan, and grandson Jake Morgan. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kim and his sister Rose. Jerry graduated from Landon High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland. In the early days of the space industry, Jerry worked at Cape Canaveral as a down range photographer. At this time he was also a race car driver on the Sports Car Club of America circuit. Over the last 30 years Jerry and Sharon traveled to many spectacular parts of the world where Jerry enjoyed his passion for photography. While at the cape, Jerry was called to the ministry. He came to Texas and received his Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology. Jerry served the Lord in several different churches in North Texas. Jerry’s services will be held at St. Stephen UMC in Mesquite, at a time and date to be announced.
