Jennifer Louise Russell

She was born in Dallas, TX on May 14, 1979. Jennifer graduated from Living Heritage Christian Academy and then attended Eastfield College in Mesquite. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

Before her disabilities became too severe to continue working, Jennifer worked in sales positions at Family Christian Store, Bookstop, and Hobby Lobby. She had also done volunteer work at Children's Hospital of Dallas, and the Mesquite Citizen Police Academy.

Jennifer loved doing diamond art paintings, puzzles, and other crafts, playing games, cooking and trying new foods, and watching NASCAR. She would hook up her portable oxygen machine and loved going places when she felt able, such as the restaurants, Mesquite Farmers Market, Half Price Books, and the Texas State Fair to listen to the Killdares play, and then later Rathmore.

She was a member of Meadowview Church of Christ in Mesquite for the past 30 years. She enjoyed potluck meals and going to play Bunko with friends from church.

She is survived by her parents, Dennis A. Russell and Billie Jo Russell of Mesquite, TX; sister, Sarah Russell Morphew, brother-in-law Richard Morphew II and niece Maisie Morphew, of Guthrie, OK; brother, Dennis "Rusty" Russell II and sister-in-law Amanda Hutto Russell.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 AM, April 22, 2023, at Meadowview Church of Christ, 4100 N. Galloway Ave, Mesquite, TX, 75150, followed by interment at New Hope Memorial Gardens in Sunnyvale, Texas.
