Jeanne Polakoff

November 5, 2011. She was preceded

in death by her husband Donald

F. Polakoff. Rose was born on November

9, 1925 in Dallas, TX.

Rose attended Ursuline Academy

and Southern Methodist University.

While at S.M.U. she was a life long

member of Delta, Delta, Delta, a

Rotunda Beauty Queen and earned

her BS in Nutrition. She worked for

the American Red Cross while living

in Hawaii.

Rose married Donald Polakoff in

1947 and made their home in Dallas

on her familys farm. She invested

all of energies into her 3 children:

Joan married to Tony Colgin,

Carol married to Lester Bordelon,

and Peter married to Jeanette

Polakoff. Rose will be missed by

her grandchildren Carlee Colgin

Boles and her husband Jim, Cara

Colgin Smith and her husband

Spencer, Jacob Polakoff and his wife

Shannon and Megan Polakoff. She

also leaves behind her most precious

great grandchildren Payton, Emerson,

Gage Boles and Luke Polakoff.

Rose was a true Texan, and had a

zest for life. She traveled every mile

of the state and even worked for the

Texas Travel and Information Center.

She spent her summers in South

Padre Island with her family because

she was her happiest on the

beach enjoying the ocean air.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 6-8

p.m. at the funeral home with The

Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m..

Mass of Christian burial will be held

Wednesday 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick

Catholic church in the Parish

Center, 9643 Ferndale, Dallas, TX

75238. In lieu of flowers, donations

may be made to the American Red

Cross.
