Janet loved God and her country. Janet enjoyed her life with a fervor and all creatures big and small. She was proud of her work at Semi-Tech/DAC Vision and everyone who worked with her loved her. Janet loved her 4 legged friends and they all loved her right back she nurtured and loved all of them
In her spare time she loved tending to all animals, wildlife, trees and plants even the insects had a special place in her heart, she thought every living thing had a place in Gods world. Janet loved sports, history, music, politics, learning new words and their meaning along with the bible, she could quote the bible so well. She loved good food especially fried chicken Mamaw style with all the good sides. She enjoyed her “Natty” beer and good company to share it with, let’s give one up for her!
Holidays and birthdays were her favorites she always had a surprise for each one of us even though she could not keep a secret very well. She loved living every day to the fullest as best she could. Janet endured a lot of physical pain for many years but she never let that stop her and forged on everyday regardless of how she was feeling at any given time, there was never a lazy bone in her body.
The stories of her life adventures are priceless, she was so crazy happy and could spin a good tale, you could not wait to hear about one of them. Sunday mornings were always a time of “remember when”. She called her loved ones every morning to just talk and recap the day before and to tell you how much she loved you.
There are no words to explain Janet; she was a friend, an advocate and an overall sweet and loving person.
If she loved you, you were blessed if you crossed her you were at the mercy of her wrath.
She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Minnie(Mamaw) Amburn and her mother, Mary Ann along with her best friend and cousin, William(Bill) Amburn.
Janet will always be remembered by everyone whose lives she ever touched who are gone or who are still with us. Janet was so unforgettable and left an imprint on every heart that she ever touched. She loved her dogs, Pixil and, Max, her loved and lost ones Maggie Mae, Sarah, Barkley, Jake and so many others. Janet would help anyone in need, the homeless, the thirsty, the hungry and any stray that came up like cats, raccoons, possums, birds and squirrels . She could tame the wildest of cats and every critter would come to trust her and eat out of her hand, she was Dr. Dolittle incarnate.
Her family has the following to say:

Best Friend Kathey: “There are no words to express my love and gratitude for the 35 years of friendship, stories, advice and companionship. You are a cherished friend and will be in my heart forever. That big “Dash” between being born and going to heaven has been the craziest loving friendship I have ever known. Through the changing scenes, and Lord there have been so many, we have loved , laughed and cried together. In life we were the best of friends and death will never part us for our love and caring for one another is everlasting. May God bless and keep us together in spirit forever and ever.
