Jack Russell Kerr, age 86, of Desoto, Texas passed away on December 3, 2016 of heart failure. Jack was born on September 21, 1930 to Alvis N. Kerr and June James Kerr in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the younger of two boys.
The family moved to Dallas where Jack attended school and often helped his father in a variety of business ventures during and after the depression. Jack graduated from Adamson High School in 1948. While at Adamson he played on the basketball team and was a high jumper on the track team. After high school he married Frances Vernelle Caldwell. Together they had two sons, Jack Russell Kerr, Jr. and Kevin Lee Kerr. Jack was a loving husband and father. He was loved in return and will be greatly missed. In business, Jack was founder and partner in Lok-Mor Inc. of Mansfield, Texas. Jack had a true passion for his work, as Lok-Mor became a well-known and well respected locknut manufacturer in the U.S. and overseas. While Jack will be remembered for his strong work ethic, he will also be remembered for his dry sense of humor and pleasant nature. His faith compelled him to great optimism and frequent acts of charity and generosity.
