Henry Lee Haynes was born in Waco, Texas on October 7, 1922 to Sam and Ruby Haynes. He attended school in Waco, Texas. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Ruth Hightower. They then moved to Dallas. He later joined People’s Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas. He worked for Borden Dairy for 40 years.
Henry was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ruby Haynes, wife, Mary Ruth Haynes of 56 years, brothers, Jewell Haynes and Otis Haynes, and sister, Alma Jean Isler.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Kay Haynes of Lancaster, TX, Clarence Haynes (Brenda), Calvin Haynes, Susan Haynes, Melvin Haynes all of Dallas, TX, Dottie Haynes of Lancaster, TX and Rita Pierson (Joseph) of Cedar Hill, TX. Brothers: St. Elmo Haynes and Nathaniel Haynes of Waco, TX. Sister: Mary Hairston of Mesquite, TX. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, special friends and extended family, the Willingham’s.
