Harold Lindel Bell, 83, was born January 18, 1929 near Commerce, Texas. He passed away at home December 26, 2012. After high school graduation in Commerce, Texas, he served four years of military service in the US Air Force, and achieved Staff Sgt. Status.
Harold then received his graduate and post graduate degrees from East Texas State University. He dedicated himself to 35 years of service teaching Industrial Arts at W.H. Gaston Middle School, while also managing a DISD Swimming Pool and driving a DISD school bus. He was honored with the Ross Perot Award for teaching excellence.
He dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of his nephews and nieces. He had a great passion for deep sea fishing in Galveston. He was an enthusiastic man, excellent craftsman, happy gardner and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. After a long life well lived, his family is left to cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Clifton and Eva Lee Bell; his sister, Jeraldine Lee; and his brother, Travis Bell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen Frances Bell; a son, Brad Bell; and a daughter, Sharon Stubbs and her husband Johnny of Bethany, OK; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild on the way.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Central Church of the Nazarene located at 7979 E. R.L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, TX. Family will receive visitors the evening prior, on Friday from 5-7pm at the Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Interment will be immediately following services on Saturday at Bethel Cemetery in Greenville, TX.
Pallbearers are as follows: Brock Bell, Joshua Stubbs, Eddie Freeland, Chris Guzman, Justin Brooks, Justin Lee.
