Guadalupe R. Flores, 91, was born on March 29, 1928 in Floresville, TX to Francisco and Lazara Fraga. She passed peacefully into the loving arms of God our father on December 14, 2019, At home in Dallas, TX surrounded by her loving children. Lupe, as she was known to friends and family, worked various positions including telemarketing for Montgomery Wards and sales for La Novia Elegante Bridal Shop. She loved working in sales because it provided her the opportunity to meet and talk with others. She was often referred to as the Queen of Gab because she never met a stranger and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. Lupe also enjoyed floral arrangement and design, which provided an opportunity to display her creative talents. But the job she most valued was being a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and loving wife. Her strong spiritual faith allowed her to face life's difficult challenges and rewards that life presented throughout the years. She enjoyed the casinos, gardening, garage sales, and the flea market. She also traveled to Washington D.C., Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Orlando, and may cities and towns of her home state of Texas. Her primary goal in life was to take care of her husband, children, and grandchildren and provide guidance, love, and support to her family. She married the love of her life, Ynes Flores, on August, 12, 1945, upon his return from WWII. They started their life together in Kemp, TX and moved to Dallas in 1950 for the remainder of their lives. In 2015 they celebrated 70 years of marriage before his death in November the same year. They had three children Christine, Frank, and Ynes Jr., 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Ynes, her parents Francisco and Lazara Fraga, brother Frank Fraga and wife Beatrice, Sister Leandra Fernandez, and great grandson Allan Jabez Mora. She is survived by her son Ynes Jr, Daughter Christine and husband Jon, Son Frank and wife Carolyn, Grandchildren Ruben Trevino and partner Raquel, Carlos Trevino, Michael Mora and wife Margaret, Allan Jay Mora, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, gran-dog Nikki and a host of family and friends.
