Gloria Jean Hargrove, 84, of Dallas passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Plano Presbyterian hospital. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted friend that went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gloria embodied strength, courage, kindness and fun loving spirit with friends and family.
She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 27, 1928 to John and Grace Winkler Heslep. She married Jewel (Jack) Millis Hargrove in 1945 and they had 3 children (Michael, Kristina, and Carla). Gloria loved cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her brother, Carl A. Mattay and three grandchildren Derek Zabbia, Nicole Rogers and Cody Rogers in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1972, her son Michael in 1987, and daughters Kristina in 1978 and Carla in 2011.
