Gloria L. Davis

Gloria Millican Davis "Nana" left this world on March 28, 2011 with her family by her side, surrounding her with love. Born April 25, 1922 in Dallas, Texas she continued to remain a lifelong resident. Married in 1941 she started her career with Southwestern Bell. After working for ARCO she finally retired from DISD. Member of Casa View Baptist Church she recently transferred her membership to Shiloh Terrace. Longtime member of ABWA and the Garden Club she had a passion for music and loved singing in her choir at church. Along with her Savior she was met in Heaven by her husband of 63 years, William "Al" Davis. Her mother and father Clarence and Belle Millican, her brother and sister Glen Millican and Joyce Sturges, and her grandson Juan Tonches. She will be in heaven waiting for her cherished loved ones, son Bobby Davis and wife Patty, daughter Beverly Tonches, granddaughter Melissa Owens and husband Josh, grandchildren Manuel Gallegos, John Davis, Jose Gallegos, Keri Davis and Julian Tonches. Her great grandchildren, Lucas Ringo, Erik George, Trent Davis, and Jose Gallegos Jr "JJ". Her niece Glenda Emery and husband Kelly and niece Stephanie Fraire. Numerous other family and friends. The Matriarch of our family and the glue that held our bonds together she will be greatly loved and missed always.

Viewing will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 31st, 10am at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, 9810 LaPrada, Dallas, Texas 75228, with Pastor Craig Christina officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
