Dear Dina, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your life with Papa! It was so much fun to come over to your house and know that I would get a huge smile from Papa when he realized it was me. Papa was always so kind and willing to do whatever I wanted. We would play cards and my favorite thing to do was to hold hands. He was very affectionate as you know, but never rude in anyway. He would always stand up to greet me whenever I came in to the house. papa said he never would forget me and I will never forget him. He is watching over us ,I am sure !!!

Dear Dina 
I remember Papa always so full of life ,when I would  bring Shafford for his massage Papa would encourage Shafford with his broken English to get up every hour and take a walk ,it is good to get up and walk .He loved his dogs and was so welcoming,  He will be greatly  missed and I can imagine him dancing and sharing stories with everyone in heaven. Lots of love and praying 🙏 for you specially at this time .Shafford  and Maria may God's loving arms surround you .

I had the pleasure of visiting with 'Papa Poma' on his 101st birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Wonderful that he enjoyed life right up to the very end!  A lesson to us all to keep moving and remain interested and cheerful.  Our love to Dina and the family.

My family, and I only have loving and fond memories of Jack. He’s been a member of our family for years and was like a father to all of us. Jack and my mother were together for a long time and had a great relationship. We will never forget him  Always thinking of him with loving thoughts

Your Dad was such a gem, I so enjoyed our conversations and his stories. He was such an interesting guy, we will miss him so. There are no more Papa’s, he was one of a kind. God love him. The pictures were incredible, felt a closeness to your family. Thanks for sharing, we love you.

Jack and I on his 100th birthday.  Thank you for the joy you brought into my grandmas life. Even though she was a pain in the butt sometimes. May you Rest in Peace.

Always loved our talks, I’m going to miss them. 

I loved asking him questions about his home town, and things from his past. He always enjoyed telling his stories and I just loved listening to them. 
101 years and all the history I got to hear just for the short 14 years of knowing him.
That's something to be proud of
That's a life you can hang your hat on.

My very favorite uncle is now gone. He will forever live in my memories and my heart because I loved him as dearly as I loved my own father (his brother) they will be forever missed in my heart and life. He always told everyone he introduced me to as his favorite niece. I felt honored to hold that title.  He and I always got along incredibly well, so much so that he and I traveled to Sicily together when he was 94. I had one hell of a time keeping up with him! He was an incredible man that I will from this day forward always miss! He had a really good long life and I feel incredibly proud to have been a small part of it.

It is with my deepest condolences over the loss of Sweet Papa Poma, always a joy, forever a smile on his cute face, may he Rest In Peace!  Hugs & Love to Dina & the whole family, - Michelle Helmke
