Gena V passed away on March 16, 2018. She was born on August 27, 1924 in Kaufman, Texas to Reece Park Grimes and Martha Jewel Oxford Grimes. She was the first born of 6 children. Gena V is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Billy Samuel Brown. She is survived by her 4 children, Billy Brown (Mary), John Brown, Sharon Arias (Joe), Teresa Fairchild (Bob), her sister, Reesie Drouet of Kaufman, her brother, Jerry Grimes of Mabank, 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Gena V was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Dallas for the past 30 years. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 2:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
