Esther was born February 16, 1927 in Cheyenne, WY, and passed away August 12, 2010 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Alfred Bauer; 2nd husband, Alexander Miller; brothers, Leroy, Loren, and Bobbie Rhoten; and sister, Doris Guthrie. Esther leaves to cherish her memory her son, James Bauer and wife Marcia of Dallas, TX; daughter, Sharon Whisenhunt and husband Larry of Berthoud, CO; granddaughters, Jennifer Bauer and husband Scott Marlow of Chapel Hill, NC and Elissa Davis and husband Mike of Houston, TX; grandson, Erich Whisenhunt of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Betty Proksch of Fort Collins, CO; and brother, Billie Rhoten of Colorado Springs, CO. She was a long time employee of U. S. West Telephone Company and enjoyed retirement for the past 26 years. She lived most of her life in Colorado, spent six years in Ocala, FL and moved to Dallas in 2001. For the last nine years she lived independently with her many friends at Meadowstone Place where she was admired for her sense of fairness and patriotism. Everyone will remember her for her love of socializing, stylish clothes, flashy earrings, thrift shops, bridge, bingo and slots.
