Elsie Marie Gillentine

She met her husband, Clyde, in 1955 with the help of her friend Edith Daniell, Clyde’s sister. Clyde and Marie were married on November 23, 1956.

Marie was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church. She served as a Pastor’s wife for over fifty years. She was a devoted housewife and raised five children. Marie was a talented artist and enjoyed painting ceramics and coloring pictures. She also enjoyed flowers, watching birds, squirrels, and all of God’s creation.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mildred Williams; brother, Milton Williams; sister, Norma Magness; daughter, Evelyn Davidson, and granddaughter, Jennifer Davidson.

Marie is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Clyde Gillentine; her sister, Barbara Walker; Four sons, John Gillentine, Jr., Jerry Gillentine and wife, Debbie, Gary Gillentine and wife, Lori, Matthew Gillentine and wife, Dawn; Eight Grandchildren, Kimberly Loughridge, Jerry Gillentine, Jr. and wife, Tia, Dale E. Sanford and wife, Stephanie, Philip Sanford and wife, Crystal, Stephanie Chartier and husband, Aarion, Catherine Yates and husband, Danny, Charles Gillentine and wife, Kristen, and Grace Gillentine; Ten Great Grandchildren, Judah, Jaden, Ava, Zoey, Zaylah, Sydney, Shiloh, Alyssa, Megan, and Gabriel; and one Great-Great Grandchild, Ayden.
