Ella Ree (Hooper) Williams was born in Timpson, Texas on February 6, 1944. Her parents were Lucille (Bailey) Hooper and Ellis Hooper. She attended elementary and high school in Timpson, Texas and Allstate Business College in Dallas, Texas.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She has been a faithful member of Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for over 31 years.
Ella like to bowl. She met her late husband, Denver Ray Williams at the bowling alley. They were married in 1978 and remained so until his death in 2019. Her daughter, Kimberly and grandson, Draylon were very dear to her.
She became a U.S. Postal Service employee in 1968 and remained in different departments until she retired after 31 years. She loved her family, church and postal families, and her co-members of the Ladies of Leisure.
Ella was a generous person, not just monetarily, but with gifts of kindness. Whether it was being a listening ear, giving her perspectives, whether asked or not, giving a place to stay, or assisting in volunteer work with different organizations. Ella was a true people person that impacted so many lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Demonsthenese Russell; her husband, Denver Ray Williams; and her sister Saundra Johnson.
Those left to cherish her precious memories: her daughter, Kimberly Russell; grandson, Draylon White; her God Daughter, Ngyhia Randle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
