Elaine Smith, 64, of Dallas passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at her residence in Dallas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born in the Bronx, New York on August 1, 1950 to William and Josephine Sforza. She married Jerome Smith in 1971, and they laughed together for 29 happy years. Elaine was a mother of two and grandmother of one. She was an insurance claims adjuster and a paralegal, who loved to read and watch her grandson play.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan Edward Smith, his wife Alison Wilkinson-Smith, and their son Alexander Smith, of Dallas,TX; and her daughter Jessica Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd., Dallas, TX 75238 on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM Central Time. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 3:30 to 8:30 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX.
