Edna Odessa Dutton, Born November 27, 1919 to the parentage of George and Cleo White in Mena, Arkansas. While living in Arkansas, Edna met and married Mr. Harold Dutton. To this union one son, Donald Dutton was born.
As her husband worked as a tree logger for Red Wood Timber, his career took the family to California for ten years. In 1958 the family moved to Dallas, Texas, bought and operated a Mobile Service Station Texas their home. Edna spent over 41 years teaching at the George Peabody Elementary School in Oak Cliff, in the Dallas Independent School District, as well as two years with the Williams Preparatory School in Dallas.
Edna accepted the Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savor at an early age. Both she and her husband were members and served for many years at the Hampton Place Baptist Church where Harold was a Deacon and Edna was a Sunday School Teacher. She loved teaching and educating children in many facets of life, especially about Christ. She was awarded Teacher of the Year for her dedication to Education. Reading was a love of hers.
