Earnestine moved to Dallas at a young age and received her formal education at James Madison High School. After high school she met, fell in love with, and married Willie S. Wiggins of Caddo Parish, Louisiana. To this union were born three children, two daughters, Lisa M. Caro, Christy W. Wiggins and one son, Charles C. Wiggins.
Earnestine worked as a leasing agent and assistant manager at the Highland Hills and Rolling Meadows Apartments for 30+ years where she touched the lives of many.
She became a faithful, dedicated and devoted member of the Ideal Family Church where she worshipped, and praised her Lord and Savior, and fellowshipped for 35+ years. She was overjoyed and humbled when the title of Church Mother was bestowed upon her. During her tenure at the Ideal Family Church, she was inspired and went on to pursue a Bachelor and Master of Theological Studies from Vision University.
Earnestine "Nanny" as we lovingly called her had a wonderful sweet, nurturing spirit and became a loving support system for everyone who was blessed to meet her. She was soft spoken, always had a big smile, warm hug and a home cooked meal to warm your belly as well as your heart. She was a fierce warrior of unwavering faith dedicated to her Lord and Savior, her church, her family, and last but not least, sports. She loved her Cowboys and the Golden State Warriors.
She had a very strong and unique bond with all her children; she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be sorely missed.
Earnestine leaves to cherish her precious memories: her sister, Nella D. Edwards; daughter, Lisa M. Caro and her husband, Kenneth Caro; daughter, Christy W. Wiggins, daughter in love, Margo Woods; daughter-in-Law, Lucy F. Dawson-Felder; grandsons, Krystapher C. Wiggins; Karrington C. Duren; Kammeryn C. Duren; granddaughter Kourtni C. Stewart and her husband Joshua Stewart; granddaughter, Jordan A. Dawson-Wiggins; LaTrecia Dawson; Cedricka Dawson, and Angel Odife.
Great grandchildren, Zoey Grace Randall; Ryane and Zyra Dawson-King and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeola and Dave King, her loving husband, Willie S. Wiggins, her doting son, Charles C. Wiggins, her brothers Roy King Sr., and Jerry W. King
