He moved to Texas in 1971.
Doug attended Lake Highlands High School where he graduated in 1978.
He went on to attend the University of Texas and graduated with a RTF degree in 1983.
Doug met the love of his life, LuAnn, in 1977. They married in 1995 and spent 25 wonderful years of marriage together.
Doug owned a successful video production company for 25 years.
He was an award winning photographer and his works were published in several magazines.
Doug loved automobiles and was a member of the SVT Cobra Club of North Texas.
He had an affinity of all things cool and enjoyed a thrifty find.
Doug never missed the opportunity to go to a good honky-tonk and was a great fan of country music.
He enjoyed traveling, good food, the desert, he especially loved Texas and all it stands for and called himself a Texan.
Volunteering at the Veterans hospital was very close to his heart.
He always had strong opinions and had the facts to back them up.
Doug was very quick witted and had a true lust for life.
He was a loyal and trustworthy husband to LuAnn and taught her so many things.
Sometimes he was hard to get to know, but once he was your friend, he was your friend for life.
Doug will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Preceded in death by his father Julius Bergman, his mother Frances Bergman and his brother Martin Bergman.
He is survived by his loving wife LuAnn, his brother Alan Bergman and wife Janet, nephews Joshua and Colin Bergman.
