Doris Marie Moore, born on September 5, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, to Dora Bell West and Arthur Mack, filled with love, faith, and family. A proud graduate of James Madison High School, she met her high school sweetheart, Cleveland Moore, and began their journey together. They married and shortly and brought forth three daughters who became her pride and joy.
Doris worked at Texas Instruments for many years before eventually finding her true calling in beauty. After attending Velma B. Beauty School, Doris became a hairstylist, a job she loved until she retired.
Her faith journey began in 1968 when she joined Holy Cross Catholic Church. She remained a dedicated member, contributing to the church through the Ladies Auxiliary and countless acts of service.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cleveland, her parents, stepfather Charlie Gibson Sr., and several siblings: brothers Arthur Mack, Charlie Gibson Jr., Roy Lee Gibson, and sister Brenda Gibson. Doris leaves behind her three loving daughters-Sharon Moore, Sheritha Moore, and Kayla Moore-as well as five grandchildren-Twyla Jackon (Antony), LeAmy Mcknight, Sepeta Caston, Germany McDonald (Beniqua), and Carlos Martinez Jr. (Meshala), 12 great grandchildren-Kyler, Mjay, Tamyra, Brayon, Mylah, Sypress, Tristan, Ayden, Kameron, Kaliyah, Kalani, and Carson; two great-great grandchildren-Egypt and Kyng; surviving siblings-William Gibson, Larry Gibson, Gloria Faye Gibson-Mitchell, and Cecelia Gibson; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Doris had an undeniable sparkle-whether in her cooking, her love for family gatherings, or her insistence that everyone look their best (because earrings were a must!). She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
