Dora Pruneda Lopez

Dora Pruneda Lopez, 88, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was born September 2, 1933 in Hondo, Texas to Luis and Celestina Pruneda. Dora was raised in New Braunfels, Texas.

She married Marcos C. Lopez in 1961 and the couple had seven children. She was involved with tailoring and alterations at Edgefield Fashions where she worked for more than three years.

In her spare time Dora enjoyed music, dancing, and traveling. In her early years, she played the accordion, drums and guitar.

Her family and friends will always remember her beautiful smile which would light up the room. She was a loving person, loved to be surrounded by her loved ones, and let's not forget, she loved to tell jokes.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Luis and Celestina Pruneda; sisters, Celida Gomez and Oralia P. Gaytan; brothers, Armando, Ramiro and Fernando Pruneda.

Dora is survived by her husband, Marcos C. Lopez; her children, Gary Munguia, Norma Burciaga - husband, Ismael, Cynthia P. Rosa - husband Carlos, Johnny Munguia - wife Norma, Juan Jose Lopez Sr. - wife Janie, Dagoberto Marcos Lopez - wife Cheryl, Marga S. Van Eps - husband Jerry; grandchildren, Ismael Burciaga Jr., Bianca Acosta - Husband Jose Alberto, Gabriel Rivera - Wife Rachel, Heather Munoz, John Marcos Munguia; Juan Lopez, Jr., John Lopez, Maria Lopez, Zachariah Lopez, Lionisio (Rolly) Rodriguez, Jose Hurtado, Bobby Hurtado, Tashina Hurtado and spouses from Marcos Lopez' Family; brother, Luis "Sonny" Pruneda, Roger Pruneda; sister Evangelina Villanueva; Forty One great-grandchildren and Twelve great- great grandchildren.

Pallbearers include, Gabriel Rivera, John Marcos Munguia, Ismael Burciaga Jr., Devon M. Rivera, Bobby John Hurtado, and Juan Jose Lopez.
