Dolores Mojica-Salinas, age 66, a long-time resident of Pleasant Grove, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Dolores was born September 13, 1954, Dallas, Texas, daughter of Maiser and Christina Mojica. Dolores, known to many as “Lola”, but to family she was “Pepe”. Lola was a successful restaurant owner of “Lola’s Restaurant” in Oak Cliff in the late 1980’s. She was a very high spirited, loving, giving person, and truly compassionate. Lola raised her youngest great grandchild, Nevaeh Montez as her own. Nevaeh, who only knew her as “Mama” were each others shadow. Lola, as all you may agree, had her very special partner in crime, her “Bro” Esteban Mojica. Her first call every morning was to her “Bro”. They were each other’s life line.
Lola was genuinely loved by her siblings and all her nieces and nephews. She was nothing less one of a kind. She will be forever missed.
In addition to her parents, Maiser and Christina Mojica, Dolores is preceded in death by Richard Salinas Jr. son, Gabriel Perez, grandson, Lorenzo Aguilera great-grandson, Jesse Mojica Sr., brother.
Dolores is survived by her partner in life, Victor Gonzalez for well over 23 years, three daughters and one son-in-law. Daughters: Mary Ann Salinas (David Banda) Christina Salinas, and Sophia Salinas. Grandchildren: Robert Varela, Priscilla Salinas, Dolores Salinas, and Rachael Varela (Jon Rodriguez), Mandy Salinas, Denice Perez (Rudy Perez), Eliza Pena, Richard Salinas, Robert C. Salinas, Jacob Villarreal, Chloe Salinas and 19 great grandchildren.
Siblings: Johnny Mojica (Alma Olivares), Esteban Mojica (Ester Mojica), Irene Rodriguez (Guadalupe Jimenez), Mary Roblez (Manuel Roblez), Pastor Margarita Amaro, Yolanda Ocanas (Jesus V. Ocanas).
