Dennis Alva Waddill, age 69, of Quitman, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Denton, Texas. Dennis was born July 8, 1952 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Hubert & Bettye Waddill. He was raised in Mesquite, Texas where he attended Mesquite High School. After Dennis Graduated High School he joined the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman Serving in the Vietnam War through 1972 earning the National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals. He went on to marry Virginia "Ginger" Agy in 1975 and the couple had 2 children together.
Dennis was a talented Master Carpenter and business owner for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed worshipping and talking about Jesus, sending out daily devotionals, listening to music... LOUD, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Sweet Pea. He was also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, as well as a franchise owner and instructor at Lee's Tae Kwon Do in Rockwall, Texas.
His family will always remember Dennis as "Twisted Steel & Sex Appeal. Man of the hour, too sweet to be sour. Best thing going today, like it or not."
Dennis is preceded in death by his wife Virginia "Ginger" Waddill; and many other grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He is survived by his parents, Hubert and Bettye Waddill; children, Shalene Guevara, Shannon Cooper & Ryan Patton; parents, Hubert and Bettye Waddill; sister, Deborah Langford; niece, Dulcie Cichowski; nephew, Duane Littman; grandchildren, Jeremiah & Joshua Guevara, Morgan Sandy, Madison, Mandi, and Kyra Simenson; Jade Gullickson and Maycee Monson; son in-laws, Cesar Guevara and Joshua Cooper; great grandchildren, and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
