During the last years of her life she lived with her son Randy and daughter in law Lisa in Kingwood, Texas. Later on she moved to Fall Creek Rehab Center in Kingwood.
Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, AJ and Almeta Campbell, sisters Helen Underwood and Wanda Watson. She is survived by her loving sons Randy Fitz, his wife Lisa of Kingwood, Texas, Breack Fitz and his wife Dawn of Garland, Texas. Two adoring grand-daughters Kaitlyn Tice and her husband Bradley of Baytown, Texas, and Lindsey Fitz of Kingwood, Texas, and great grand-son Brantley Tice.
She is also survived by her sister Anita Doughty and her husband James of Forney, Texas. Sharon Kinard, her best friend of over 50 years, who was more like a sister to Deloris than just a friend. Doris Starnes who was also more like a sister than a cousin. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. And many close friends Deloris stayed in contact with for as long as she could. The last couple of years she wasn’t able to communicate with them as much but they were always on her mind and she asked about them often. Deloris had such an unwavering and deep love for her family and friends. She was a devote Christian with a great love for her Lord and Savior.
Deloris worked in the Financial Industry for 35 years. She served on the Board of Directors of Dallas Securities Dealers for 11 years. Deloris retired from Southwest Securities in August, 1999.
Deloris was a member of First Baptist Church of Garland. She worked with the singles group and helped with Divorce Recovery for several years at Lakeside Baptist Church. She also worked with the Dallas County Republican Party election committee.
While living in two Senior Centers Deloris took pride in helping people, especially those with Alzheimer's.
