Debra Trevino graced the world June 5th, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to her father, Carlos Ortega and mother, Estella Gonzalez Rangel. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer on July 27th, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and grandson.
Growing up, Debra was a loving sister and friend. She graduated from L. G. Pinkston in the spring of 1979. As a young woman, Debra was always looking for adventure in everything she did. Her friends always knew the fun was around when they’d see her light blue Chevy Camaro pulling up. From being a movie extra, being a model, or winning Miss Azteca, Debra was always up for trying something new.
At the age of 14, she met Benito Trevino Jr and found true love. They married on July 23, 1983, and began their next adventure together. The two recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
The two of them welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world that they loved deeply, and she always called them her beauties. Debra worked for Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital for eight years where she was loved by her friends. She was known to always win the company baking contest with her yummy brownies.
She lived such a full life whether it was running errands with her husband, taking her grandson shopping, baking the yummy treats she was known for, laughing and joking with her daughters, or sitting on the couch with her beloved dogs Lucy, Minnie, Raven, Zeus, and Luna while watching the food network. She also loved traveling to her two favorite places, Las Vegas and Disney World, every opportunity she had.
She will be greeted in heaven by her father, Carlos Ortega; mother Estella Gonzalez Rangel and father-in-law, Bentio Trevino Sr.
Her smile and laughter will remain in the hearts of her husband Benito Trevino Jr.; her oldest daughter, Valerie Perez and her husband, Anthony Perez; youngest daughter, Stefani Trevino; grandson, Regeman Candela; sister, Yolanda Rico; brothers, Abel Rangel and Patrick Ortega. She will be the guardian angel to Nicholas Anthony Perez, the grandson she was so excited to meet.
