He was born on April 21, 1939 in Sulphur Springs, TX. He excelled as an athlete and earned the rank of Eagle Scout while attending Sulphur Springs High School. After graduating from the University of Dallas he married Carolyn Anne O’Neil. They settled in Irving, Texas, where the had two sons, David Michael McMullan, Jr. and Curtis Baron McMullan. They subsequently moved to Dallas, Texas. Later in Life, Mike moved to Seattle to live closer to his children. Mike was a devout Catholic and lived his life according to his faith. He was an active member of Saint Monica Parish, where he served others as a member of the Legion of Mary. Mike was a gentile man, whose generosity, keen sense of humor, and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone about anything was appreciated by all who knew him. He loved his family, especially his five grandchildren. His faith in God was nearly rivaled by his faith in the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, no matter how many times they disappointed him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Wiggers McMullan and Maurine (James) McMullan. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Mack Pogue of Dallas, Texas, his son David Michael McMullan, Jr., his wife Victoria Vu, and their children Khai McMullan and Liem McMullan of Washington, and his son Curtis Baron McMullan and his children Gabrielle McMullan, Rocco McMullan, and Roland McMullan, of California.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, at the Calvary Hill Chapel in Dallas, Texas from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A requiem mass will be held on Saturday, December 23, at the Calvary Hill Chapel at
9:00 a.m. with his friend, Monsignor Don Fischer as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Calvary Hill Cemetery.
