Daniel Joseph Dillingham, age 38, was born January 9, 1975 in Patuxent River, Maryland to Joe Glenn and Mary Carol Dillingham. Since his father was career Navy, he was raised in several different locations—Corpus Christi TX, Memphis TN, Dallas TX, finally settling in Stillwater OK for his teen years. He was active in baseball in high school as a “lefty” pitcher and first baseman, and remained a passionate baseball fan the rest of his life, supporting OSU and the Texas Rangers. Dan was a Coast Guard Veteran, serving in Alaska and Key West. Dan’s other passion was fitness. He ran the Oklahoma City Marathon, and was currently training for IRONMAN Texas in Houston. He most recently resided in Dallas TX where he graduated from Richland College, achieving membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He currently was employed as a Supervisor for DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). He enjoyed playing bass and guitar, and most of all, spending time with his wife and soulmate, Cristy, whom he married on May 2, 2008. His dream was to make a home in the country outside Dallas for the two of them. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Blanche Huff and Glenn and Emmadean Dillingham. He is survived by his wife, Cristy Dillingham, his parents, Joe and Mary Dillingham, his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Bryan Durant, and his nephews, Jacob and Benjamin Durant. He is deeply missed by all of them. He will be remembered at a funeral service in Dallas at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, and a funeral service in Stillwater at First Presbyterian Church at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Dan will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater.
