She was born in Port Arthur, Texas and spent most of her adult life in Lake Charles, LA. Daisy was a devoted wife and mother as well as a partner with her husband, Paul Reichley, in the family restaurant business. She was a longtime member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lake Charles where she served in the Catholic Daughters of America and was a member of The Serra Club. In addition, she was a member of the Lake Charles Republican Women’s Club as well as a member of the Pioneer Club where she enjoyed the company of many friends.
Among her hobbies were oil painting, needle work and traveling. Daisy was a lifetime bridge player and sports fan.
Daisy was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and husbands, Lawrence DeCoux of Port Arthur, Texas, Paul Reichley and Clarence “Shady” Shaddock both of Lake Charles, LA.
She is survived by her son and his spouse, Paul and Mary Reichley, of Palm Desert, CA and her 2 daughters, Lynda and Preston Wright, of Nashville, TN and Betty and Charlie LeBlanc of Dallas, TX; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express thanks to the staff at Appletree Court and the caregivers at The Weismer Care Home of Dallas.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Tom Cloherty at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The American Diabetes Association for research at the following link www.diabetes.org
