Curtis Mack McClure was born April 4, 1927, in Macedonia Bowie, Texas, to the parentage of Robert McClure and Ellen McClure Watson. Curtis loved fishing, traveling, baseball and people. After finishing high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Curtis also attended barber college and later opened his own barber shop. He retired after working 45 years at Lone Star Company. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley McClure; daughter, Wanda McClure Darden of Dallas, Texas; and brother, Jimmie McClure of Los Angeles, California. Those left to cherish his memory are: three daughters, Barbara McClure Sheppard (Lee) of Desoto, Texas, Jacqueline McClure Collins (Donnell) of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and Sharon McClure Thomas of Duncanville, Texas; two sons, Oliver L. McClure of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Curtis Mack McClure Jr. (Debra) of Garland, Texas; brother, Jessie McClure of Phoenix, Arizona; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
