Dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and wonderful friend passed into God’s hands on Monday, June 20, 2016, with her family by her side. Consuelo “Weta” Martinez, began her beautiful life that touched so many, on December 31, 1927 in Ft. Worth, TX. Weta enjoyed being surrounded by her family and as such, always warmly opened her home. The memories at Weta’s of the traditional Sunday family breakfasts, the holidays, like Easter and Christmas, sharing in the celebration of her birthday while ringing in the New Year, and her motherly nature of ensuring everyone who left her house never left hungry, were all made memorable because of the great love she had for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mayo C. Martinez. She is survived by her children; Flora Perez, Annie Hernandez, Jesse Martinez, Mayo Martinez Jr, Betty Oballe, Jeannie Ann Sanchez, Debbie Cantu, Rafael Martinez, and Florence Martinez; 26 grandchildren, as well as, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
