Claude Thomas Savage Jr., 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife, Moira, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Mary Forrest (Ira), and brother John Edward Savage (Barbara). He is also survived by his daughters Colleen McNew (Philip) of Lewisville, Texas, Carol Ryan (Kevin) of Westlake, Ohio, and Barbara Savage of Dallas; his son, Michael Savage (Elizabeth) of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as the O'Donnell family whom he loved so dearly. He was a veteran of World War II where he was a Second Lieutenant in the Army serving as a Japanese interpreter for military intelligence. He loved family, music, traveling and his Catholic faith. Visitation and Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Sparkman Hillcrest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, at St. Rita Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church or to the Arthritis Foundation in memory of Bridget O'Donnell.
