He attended Waco High School as well as Texas A&M where he received his Mechanical Superintendent Certification. Mr. Mirick worked for Burden Brothers Mechanical Contractors as well as International Construction of American Embassies. He enjoyed hunting, silver smithing and creating Indian styled jewelry. He was a member of the Masons Oak Cliff Lodge, International Sheet Metal Workers Association Local 68. Mr. Mirick was honored by the Embassy Marines and was presented the American flags flown in Moscow and Yemen for his hard work and a job well done.
He is survived by his children Belinda Mahone and husband Kenneth, Brenda Mirick, Charles Mirick, Jr. and wife Yuliya and Mary Green, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Guynetta Mirick.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Treadaway officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
