Cedric Emil Williams, beloved son, brother, and friend left us unexpectedly on December 3, 2024, at the age of 59. Cedric was born on December 3, 1965, to Billy and Wanda Williams, and his journey through life was marked by an unwavering love for family, a passion for driving trucks, and an exceptional talent for cooking.
Cedric’s early years were shaped by a sense of adventure that never left him. He attended R.L. Thornton Elementary School, Boude Storey Middle School, and Skyline High School in Dallas, where he formed lasting friendships and created memories that would stay with him throughout his life.
After graduating, he attended Trinity State Semi Training School, where he honed his skills as a truck driver. This marked the beginning of a long and fulfilling career that was more than just a job to him; it was a calling. For Cedric, the road represented a deep sense of freedom and possibility. He found peace in the solitude of long drives and satisfaction in his work, taking great pride in his craft. Along the way, Cedric formed lifelong friendships with fellow drivers and colleagues, each journey adding a new chapter to his story.
Cedric is survived by his father, Billy Williams and his mother, Wanda Williams; his partner in life, Thelma Clemons; his brother Fredrick Norris (Deborah); his sisters Dorinda Peterson (Jerome) and Felicia Davis (Chris); Uncle Robert Tipps (Donna); Aunts Marilyn Harris and Maxine Jones; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cedric’s memory will forever live on in our hearts, and though he is no longer with us, his love, laughter, and recipes will continue to bring us comfort and joy.
