Carol Irene Grant

Carol Irene Grant, age 72, of Plano passed away peacefully at home on September 27th after an extended battle with cancer. Carol is survived by her husband Gary F. Grant of Plano, two sons; Tim Grant and his wife Cindy of Montgomery, TX and Lincoln Grant of Plano and one daughter Cari Haynes and her husband Scott of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are 4 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.

Carol was born on September 30, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Julius and Irene Runge. Her employment career included many years in sales of materials in the construction industry. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano and enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

There will be an informal gathering on Friday evening from 5-8 PM in the clubhouse of the Woodpark Apartments, 15th Street and Independence in Plano. Over the years Irene has celebrated wedding anniversaries and wedding receptions in the clubhouse and it is only fitting that the family celebrate her life with a gathering there. At 10:00AM Saturday October the 1st, there will be a memorial service giving thanks for her life at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX.
